COLLECTIVE MEMORY
Every generation takes part in history lessons, listens to family stories, reads books, watches films, and visits museums. Through this, the memory of the Warsaw Uprising is passed on. This “inheritance of memory” gives rise to a collective memory, allowing us to draw lessons from the past, to express empathy vividly, and even to identify with those events - both for their historical and familial significance.
